We are passionate about sustainable cultivation in harmony with nature, its ecological cycles and healthy beekeeping. Our goal is to give growers and beekeepers knowledge, inspiration and security to create strong ecosystems – where people, plants and bees interact for a sustainable future.
Learning about bee health means understanding the well-being of the entire bee colony – from the queen's role and the bees' nutritional needs to how the environment, management, and diseases affect them. This knowledge helps you build strong and resilient colonies.
The courses cover common diseases and pests that can affect bee colonies, diving deep into how these are detected, diagnosed, and treated. You will also learn about preventive measures at different levels and how to counteract the spread of infection.
We refer to Kögel's Beekeeping, which holds courses to become a "Certified Beekeeper" through the Swedish Board of Agriculture. However, we offer introductory courses in bee health as well as more advanced courses for those who are already certified beekeepers.
Our courses have different levels depending on whether you are a beginner or a more experienced beekeeper.
Absolutely. By learning to spot early signs of ill health, you can save entire colonies, reduce the spread of disease, improve honey quality, and contribute to a healthier beekeeping environment for both your own bees and those of others.
The theoretical components take place online to help you acquire the necessary skills; in some of the courses, you receive guidance on how to perform practical tasks in your own apiary to practice what you have learned.
